 Dosage and Method of Administration

 The appropriate dosage of Actrac may vary from patient to patient and is related to the therapeutic response and potential adverse events. Typically, Actrac therapy begins with a daily dose of 0.5mg/kg of body
weight. For instance, if a patient weighs 60kg, the starting dose would be 30mg/day. Most patients will fall within the range of 0.5 to 1.0mg/kg per day, with some individuals, especially those with very severe or truncal acne,
possibly requiring doses up to 2.0mg/kg

 Capsules should be taken with food once or twice daily. A cumulative treatment dose of 120150mg/kg per treatment has been shown to increase remission rates and prevent relapse. The duration of therapy varies
depending on the daily dose and individual response, typically lasting 1624 weeks. For patients with severe intolerance to the recommended dose, a lower dose can be continued, albeit with a longer therapy duration

 Special Dosage Instructions

 Patients with severe renal impairment should start treatment at a lower dose, such as 10mg/day, and gradually increase it up to 1mg/kg/day or the maximum tolerated dose

 Contraindications

 Actrac is contraindicated in the following cases:

•  Women of childbearing potential unless they meet specific Pregnancy Prevention Program conditions

•  Patients receiving concomitant treatment with tetracyclines
